Q:Which of your characters are complete arsewagons? Also tell me more about the robot soldier with the round face.
Probably the worst culprit is my leech dude Jonah. He’s a self obsessed narcissist with loose morals who likes to perform medical experiments on whatever/whoever he can get his slimy hands on.
Victors a bit of a bastard too. He has a really short temper but at least he has morals I guess.
As for mah robot chick, she’s an android created as support for for land based troops. She can carry a huge amount of weight and perform emergency first aid. She’s very stoic and aloof since well… she’s a robot haha.
Q:Do any of your characters serve a personality, mindset, appearance, or anything else that you wanted to deliberate represent in your writing?
Hmmm I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking as it seems like quite a broad question but I’ll try to answer as best I can!
There are a few ‘tropes’ I guess that I’ve always found appealing/interesting in media. I’ve always been a sucker for ‘beauty and the beast’ type stories as well as sympathetic monster or robot characters and the question of ‘what makes a human a human’. Creepy and macabre things also stand out to me.
I’m not necessarily trying to represent anybody in particular or even subvert the norm, I guess I just like odd things!
I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE ;0;
Q:So where does Victor fit (snerk) into the grand scheme of things?
PFFF o u! Well back in like 2006 or something, I started writing a comic called ‘Sky Navy’. I designed quite a few characters for it but unfortunately it wasn’t to be as I’m a terrible plot writer. Victor is probably one of a few I still occasionally draw as he was one of my favs. Feels weird to still draw them without any particular setting :S…
Q:How do you reconcile developing personality with developing appearance? Do you simply do multiple drafts and select one that you prefer most?
Usually I start with a strong concept or trait I want to portray. Then I’ll throw down rough ideas as sketches. The more I draw the character over a long period of time, the more they evolve and change in terms of both personality and appearance. It takes me a while to refine something into a ‘final’ draft but It seems to be the most effective way for me.
I hope that answers your question? I’m not very articulate!
Ask me questions about them!

Okay I made a Flickr instead. I might just delete the photography Tumblr as it’s a pain in the butt to go through everything and edit it individually. Gte ready for lots of cats and a goldfish.
